4. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data only for the purposes for which you gave explicit consent at the time of collection. These purposes are:
- Providing the service — preparing documents, forms, and reports you have paid for and consented to.
- Communicating with you — sending service updates, document delivery notifications, and support responses.
- Legal compliance — retaining records we are obliged to keep under the Income Tax Act, GST laws, and the Companies Act.
- Product improvement — anonymised, aggregated usage analytics to improve features. No individual-level data is used for this purpose.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models.
5. Data Sharing
We share your data with third parties only in the following strictly limited circumstances:
- Razorpay (payment processing): transaction data only; governed by Razorpay's own privacy policy.
- Supabase (database infrastructure): encrypted data storage on India-region servers.
- Government portals: when you instruct us to submit your application (e.g., Delhi e-District portal for LHC), the data on the form is submitted per your explicit instruction.
- Legal obligation: if required by a court order, government authority, or applicable law.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for the following periods:
- Active service data: retained for 12 months from the date your last service was completed, to allow you to re-download outputs.
- Consent logs: retained for 3 years from the date of consent, as required for DPDP Act compliance.
- Payment records: retained for 8 years as required under GST and Income Tax law.
- Analytics data: anonymised after 90 days; not linked to your identity thereafter.
After the applicable retention period, your data is permanently deleted from our systems. You may also request earlier deletion (see Your Rights below).
7. Data Security
We implement the following technical measures to protect your data:
- All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3.
- Document uploads (AIS files, death certificates, ID proofs) are stored in private, access-controlled storage buckets — not publicly accessible.
- Each user can only access their own data (Row Level Security on all database tables).
- Payment processing is handled entirely by Razorpay; we never see or store your card details.
- Our infrastructure is hosted on Supabase (Mumbai/Hyderabad region), ensuring India data residency.
